WHAT: Back To School Extravaganza providing school supplies

Fort Worth, Texas – Volunteers are needed to help staff a Back To School Extravaganza designed to help students have a successful kick-off to the new school year.
The Back To School Extravaganza will provide 1,500 FWISD elementary school students, in the southeast sector of Fort Worth, with school clothing, back-packs and school supplies. It is scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Texas Wesleyan University.
Volunteers are needed for two different shifts: 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Volunteer tasks will consist of set-up, tear-down, the distribution of clothing and school supplies, assisting with giveaways, the music and food.
The event is support by the Fort Worth ISD, Tarrant, Net, Community Impact Team, Texas Wesleyan University, Project Unite and Minyard’s Food Stores.
